After quite entertaining, studying not just beneficial ;-), I went home on leave on 05.01.2010 in a British Airways lodnon machine from Frankfurt to Heathrow. Snow I was used to in Germany, but when I on the approach only thick snowflakes looked out the window, I thought, "lucky that my flight was not canceled!" And: "I hope we land safely!" ;-) It was snowing quite heavily, but the way home from the airport to Surbiton was fortunately not a problem. In the next few days ago the London winter under control, and so it came to the university some lecture Exam and failures, of which I was not affected. The sidewalks were covered with a several centimeter thick layer of snow ice. No one comes here in England seems to spread the idea of the sidewalks, so walking is very dangerous, I had firsthand experience painful. I arrived at my fall but off lightly, as opposed to a 11-year-old girl who has fallen in Manchester on the way home from school so badly that it has succumbed to his severe head injuries. To me it is therefore inexplicable why, especially after such a tragic accident, this is not required that sidewalks be kept clear. The
days until 22.01. I spent 24 / 7 with the study. On my agenda were two exams, creating a dynamic site and a full 40-50 pages housework. I currently have no results. Usually this is a 4-week correction period, with the result of domestic work but for seven (!!!) weeks overdue. So I am curious how long I on it and the results of exams / papers from the January (still) have to wait.
After the last house work was submitted, started for me again at the beautiful part of student life. My next lecture I was not until 01.03. :-)
