After I made the last house work, five weeks began without any homework, exam and lectures. A good time. :-) At the start of my "vacation" I got a week visitors from Laura. This week, we could break out, including the Hampton Court Palace , which is made by me about 1 hour walk on the other side of the Thames. In addition to our program included a visit to the Portobello Market in Notting Hill , a trip to the National Gallery and a walk in Richmond Park where we have seen include "strange" looking ducks (See photo).
have calculated on the coldest day we decided to go to Greenwich to the Royal Observatory visit, through which leads the zero Merian (and also 0 longitude). This is on a hill in Greenwich Park, from where one has a very nice view over London. Then we walked down the hill to the National Maritime Museum. Really only useful for warming up (as the UK's entry to museums is free), but there we have seen the original uniforms (including bullet holes) of Lord Nelson, who died in 1805 in the Battle of Trafalgar. Many visitors to London this is probably by the Lord Nelson Monument in Trafalgar Square a household name. After that we went for a little sightseeing to the Tower Bridge and the Tate Modern , with us the latter with its modern art did not suit so well.
was hardly my visit, I went away for about two weeks to Aberdeen, where only recovery was by the sea on the program.
After I was only a few days back "home" in London, unplanned way it went for four days to Germany before the 01 March then again began the university for me.
